Artist's Statement:

I am a hand weaver who specialises in designing and making rag rugs and runners on a wooden floor loom. I learnt to weave in Sweden where the rag rug is still one of the most popular methods of floor covering. Apart from being a 'green' product when made from recycled material, and the repository of a piece of personal history if some of that material is meaningful to you, each piece I make is a unique, handcrafted item, with an exclusive design and colourway.

I work from images, real, photographed or painted, with a combination of colours that I find inspiring, and use different weave techniques and a wide palette of colours to create bright, contemporary designs that look equally good on the floor or the wall, in a modern or period setting, and with any type of floor covering.
