Artist's Statement:

I am a quiltmaker and embroiderer creating innovative and contemporary wall hangings and framed pieces. Colour, texture and pattern are features of my work, and inspiration comes from my sketch books including South American, Moroccan, Venetian and garden themes.

Techniques include a mixture of applique, free machine embroidery, patchwork and quilting. I also hand dye and paint fabrics to create unique effects. I create tactile surfaces and add texture with beading and embroidery.

I teach adults locally in weekly classes, give one-day workshops and talks about my work throughout the UK, and write for national textile magazines.
