Artist's Statement:

Ruby Hickmott lives in the beautiful Peak District village of Parwich. She is a professional artist who sells original work and facilitates art based workshops for all ages and abilities

Born in 1956 her paintings embrace an extensive range of materials and techniques that capture the Derbyshire landscape of the local area where she lives. She regulary visits Cornwall to sketch seascapes & people relaxing on the beach.

Ruby states; ''Throughout my work I aim to convey my feelings and sense of awareness to that partricular environment, and hope that my sketches and paintings will resonate with and involve the viewer.''
