Artist's Statement:

Based in the heart of the Peak District, Sandra Orme's work reflects the seasonal colours and weather of the ever-changing moorland landscape that surrounds her home and studio. Her atmospheric work expresses the intense hues and tones of these open spaces. She also uses her work to explore dramatic British coastlines and their accompanying skies in her evocative style. Vivid colours and intricate textures communicate a sense of place.

She uses a variety of techniques and sizes - focusing in particular on soft pastels.
