Artist's Statement:

Inspired by the relentless movement of the fire, the curl of the flame around pots and the rhythm of wood firing, my forms are thrown on a momentum wheel and altered while soft. Surfaces are enhanced by shino and wood ash glazes and fired in my wood kiln at Blackwell, Derbyshire.

I communicate my own enthusiasm about kilns and clay through workshops in a wide variety of community and educational settings. I specialise in environment related projects, using clay to inspire individuals to connect with their own creativity.
