're:place' - Contemporary Site-specific Art Commissions in Derbyshire

a project of Arts in the Peak for Derbyshire Arts Development Group

Arts in the Peak has been commissioned to explore the potential for an ongoing programme of site-specific contemporary visual art commissions across Derbyshire and the Peak. As part of this process there has been extensive consultation with artists to elicit their responses to sites of interest to them in Derbyshire, and to Derbyshire as a site itself. Artists were invited to submit initial proposals for new site-specific work, and in August 2007 twelve of these artists will be awarded bursaries to develop their proposals further.

You can also see information on work previously commissioned from Hannah Carvell and Lothar Goetz. We are currently fundraising for the project and hope to advertise the commissions later in 2008.
